The Office of Student Affairs at Penn State College of Medicine, under the Office of Educational Affairs, is committed to supporting the educational mission of the medical school for MD students. The staff provides and supports a wide variety of programs and resources that enhance student experience and development, including career planning, support for clubs and organizations, counseling services, student mentorship programs, support for disability/insurance services and more.

Mission: Empower learners to reach their fullest potential in all aspects of their curricular and co-curricular engagements to become successful contributors to the future of healthcare.​

Career Support

Student Affairs is here to help and support our students’ personal goals in medicine so that students can make informed decisions and plans for their career in medicine.

Student Engagement

Student Affairs assists & encourages medical students to engage in student government leadership positions, student organizations, community service activities,and learning communities during their educational experience at the College of Medicine. Our office aims to advance the power of participation by connecting students with experiences that empower them to make a positive impact during their medical school journey.

Student Advocacy

Student Affairs provides administrative oversight to both the Penn State College of Medicine’s Emergency Fund and the Penn State Basic Needs Request. Students can find details about each fund by visiting Student Aid.

Major Events and Milestones

The Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Medical Education organized many of the milestone events for our medical students. We believe in celebrating your major milestones from beginning your journey as a medical professional to watching each student cross the stage at Commencement.
